Within a portfolio at CaDA that is largely dominated by large 1:8 technic models, the Izakaya Modular initially appears rather unassuming. Yet this is precisely where its strength lies: it does not impress through volume, but through presence.In typical CaDA fashion, both packaging and instructions are executed at a high level—clear, structured, and thoughtfully designed. The true appeal, however, unfolds during the build itself. Despite its very compact size, the set surprises with remarkable depth and an unexpectedly long, engaging build time. The deliberate use of SNOT techniques allows for a refined surface treatment that does impressive justice to the aesthetics of Japanese architecture.The building process is exceptionally pleasant: smooth, engaging, yet never exhausting. It creates an almost meditative state—focused, calm, and consistently satisfying. This is further supported by the excellent part quality: buttery-smooth clutch power, clean manufacturing, and well-balanced colors result in a thoroughly convincing tactile experience.Visually, the model thrives on restraint. Minor adjustments (in my case, a few black plates and tiles) allow for an even cleaner, more mature appearance without compromising the integrity of the original design. The integrated lighting adds a warm, atmospheric layer, transforming the set into a true display piece.While brands like Pantasy or Lumibricks are often at the center of current discussions, this set clearly demonstrates that CaDA deserves to be taken seriously in this space as well.One of the most relaxing yet satisfying building experiences—proof that a model does not need to be loud to make an impact.

This kit was a delight to build. The bricks typically fit together about as smoothly as Lego brand. It's engaging and building it is excellent for relaxing and stress relief.There were only a few very minor issues, not enough to warrant docking it a star:1. While the printed instructions are excellent and very rarely confusing, the difference in colors can be confusing and lead to grabbing a piece of the wrong color, so you have to double check if the color is close to another color.2. Stickers. There are stickers. I'm awful at putting them on straight and cleanly. If I have to disassemble the kit, I do not look forward to any parts where stickers span multiple bricks.3. A single piece was missing. It's cosmetic, and I happened to have a Lego branded piece that would fit there, so I used that. In the picture I included, you can see the round, small, light brown piece in the front. It was supposed to be a larger, darker brown round piece, but this piece fit quite well, no issues at all.Overall, I recommend this kit, whether it's to relax via building or to make something really neat looking to display somewhere.

921 Teile, aber auch nur zwei Bauabschnitte. Daher auch hier wieder, organisiert euch ein bisschen auf eurem Tisch. Ich weiß, wer Bluebrixx Specials baut lacht da natürlich nur drüber mit seinen tausenden an Teilen am Tisch, wer sonst nur LEGO kennt hat hier aber doch einen Haufen Steine vor sich, aus denen er die passenden suchen muss. Auch hier wieder der Warnhinweis genau auf Farbe und Form zu achten, auch wenn es hier mMn einfacher ist als beim Teehäuschen. Dunkelbraun ist aber auch hier wieder schwer zu erkennen und wird euch beim Bau am Baum am Ende definitiv nerven.Auch hier wieder der große Kritikpunkt: 30 Sticker, davon teilweise viele Kleine für die Verkaufsware, weil man muss ja auch die Magazine und Bücher bis hin zu den Preisschildern an den Regalen im Laden bekleben. Also wenn es unbedingt sein muss... aber auch Großflächig vom Teppichmuster über die Straßenschilder hin zur Ladenfront sind alles Sticker, das ist doch recht unschön und nervig. Es ist auch eine Katze im Set bei, die aus dem Fenster schauen soll, die hat aber leider kein Gesicht. Soll wohl so, in der Anleitung hat sie auch keines. Da gibt es jetzt nicht mal einen Sticker für (die andere Katze draußen hat das Problem zum Glück nicht).Im Untergeschoss sind außerdem einfach mal zwei Löcher, weil man sich da die Fensterscheiben gespart hat. Ich weiß nicht warum, das ist by Design. Die fehlen nicht nur als Teile, in der Anleitung sind an der Stelle auch keine. Man baut einfach zwei Fenster ohne Scheiben ein. Gut, Einbruchsicher ist der Laden eh nicht, denn auch die beiden Eingänge lassen sich nicht schließen, da hier keine Türen sind. Das eine ist zwar eine Schiebetür wie auch beim Teeladen (siehe Bild 2), aber im Gegensatz zum Teeladen kann man sich hier nur aussuchen ob man lieber die linke oder die rechte Seite offen hat. Im Winter heizt man hier für nichts, das ist nicht sonderlich gut durchdacht.Das obere Stockwerk hat das gleiche Problem: Es gibt ein Fenster das man hin und her schieben

I really liked building this set and it is super cute but I got frustrated a couple times due to a few missing pieces. Luckily it is compatible with Lego so I was able to find pieces out of my son’s collection to finish the build. Love that it comes with lights. I will probably buy another set to go with this one.
